The Spiritual Journey of Pastor Guy
|

Pastor Gyuler Green was saved at the age of six the
Evangelistic instrument of righteousness that God used to give
her the greatest inheritance that any parent could give a child:
the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. At the age of nine, she
moved from the care of her grandmother in Lufkin, Texas to
Houston, Texas to reside with her mother, Ms Annie Peacock.
Through her teenage years, she strayed from the faith, but at the
age of 17, God, through the Person of the Holy Spirit gave her a
hunger and thirst for righteousness that could only be filled by
the knowledge of God's word and will.
As Pastor Guy began to grow in the grace and knowledge of
who Jesus was and is, she realized that Christ not only wanted
to be her Savior, but she had to allow Christ to be the Lord of
her life. When she finally allowed Him to become Lord of her
life, she began to see the manifested reality of the promises of
God brought to pass in her life according to His word. So, after
reading a scripture in Acts1:8 which states "But you shall receive
power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you," she took
this literally and begun to proclaim God's truth everywhere she
went.
Her love and obedience to God reached another level of faith during the early part of 2005. Knowing that God called her to pastor, she
was ordained by the Holy Spirit first, and then by Pastor A. Hodges. After fasting and praying for a name and place of worship, the
Spirit of the Lord gave her the name 'Spirit of Faith Fellowship Church' while driving to work one morning. The Spirit of the Lord
further instructed her to tell her congregation for the first six months of the ministry that "without faith it is impossible to please God,
and those that come to Him must first believe that God is, and that He is a rewarder to all a way that invokes faith in those that have an
ear to hear what the Spirit is saying to the church.
Pastor Guy is the wife of Elder James Green, Sr. They are the proud parents of four beautiful children: Melquitta, Patrice, Damaris and
James Green, Jr. She is continuing her education at the college of Biblical Study. In October of 2010, Pastor Guy became a licensed
Christian Counselor in the State of Texas.
